- Manhattan has several parking lots. Essex Street Garage (10002) has 359 spaces in Lower East Side, there are 440 spaces near Central Park at 209 West 51st, while Times Square Garage 44th Street has 423 spaces (10036).
- Yankee Stadium in the Bronx has 1,580 spaces at the Ruppert Plaza Garage (10451) and there’s room for 933 vehicles at the 161st Street Garage (10451).
- Most garages, lots and metered street parking can be paid for using quarters, dollars and credit cards. The ParkNYC app lets you pay using your smartphone too.

How to get from JFK Airport to Lower Manhattan
Driving from John F. Kennedy Airport to Lower Manhattan takes around 30 minutes and is about 18 miles.
- Leave the Hertz lot and head towards Cargo Service Road.
- Turn right onto N Service Road and take the 1st exit onto I-678 N slip road.
- Merge onto I-678 N and remain on here for over six miles.
- Take exit 12B and merge onto I-495 W.
- Use the right two lanes at exit 17 W and join I-278 W for over four miles.
- Choose exit 29 and follow signs for the Brooklyn Bridge
- Use the second exit to turn right onto the bridge and towards Lower Manhattan.

- Interstate 278 (I-278) serves all five New York City boroughs, connecting the city with neighboring New Jersey.
- Interstate 495 (I-495) is known as the Long Island Expressway and travels from Midtown Manhattan, heading east to Riverhead, Long Island.
- 7th Avenue runs through the heart of NYC, starting at leafy Greenwich Village, through Midtown and Times Square, finishing at Central Park.

This journey covers 215 miles and takes around three hours, 30 minutes via the I-91 and I-84 highways. Finally, you’ll follow the I-90 north-west into Boston.
