One Year on and the sound is even better
I purchased the Cayin with stock tubes february 2020 and changed to PSvane matched pair for the 12AU7's at Christmas and had a general improvement in sound but the biggest improvement came this week February 2021 when I changed the EL84's to the PSvane matched pair, the noise floor dropped, the EH 84's were crackly and microphonic and the PSVanes weren't, they really made the music clearer almost like it was more focused with no more annoying crackles and fizz that the EH 84's were putting out. The Quality of the Pins on the PSVanes are top notch and that really helps lower noise. I'm now enjoying this Cayin even more, it just sounds so musical.

Outstanding.
Well.., AudioEmotion. You have nailed it for me again. Cayin HA-1AMK2 + Seinnheiser HD800S. On my third listening session now. So, only 6-8hrs into the "play/burn in". Already this sounds very, very good indeed. Spacious. Sublimely, natural and musical. Advice, service, packaging and delivery all outstanding. Part-exchange hard to believe quite frankly.

Dynamic & resolving
With its supplied valves & using Sennheiser HD800S headphones the beautifully made Cayin sounds competent.
Replace the valves with the NOS ones supplied by AE and the sound opens up dramatically - a massive improvement!
Staggering dynamics and tonal resolution and an overall stunning sound.

Now this is what I had been hoping for. Beautiful, wide-open midrange, smooth upper mids and highs, and a somewhat full-bodied tone.......I was particularly drawn to the layering of the soundstage.....The HA-1A MK2 is beautifully designed and built, with a sweet, somewhat warm tone to match the stately looks........the result is simply beautiful, arguably preferable to its solid-state cousin.......an exceptional performer, highly competitive in its class and well beyond......the Cayin HA-1A MK2 is very compelling indeed. It’s a well-done, aesthetically pleasing, beautiful-sounding amp which can be tweaked via tube rolling to sound sweet or warm or spacious or whatever the user wants.....If your taste leans toward musicality — the potential to make everything you play sound perhaps more beautiful than it should — the HA-1A MK2 is your huckleberry !

Delivery is free for all orders over £250.
'In Stock' items ordered before 1pm will be dispatched the same day.
We use DPD Local 'Next Day Service' for most UK deliveries. Orders sent via 'DPD Local - Next Day Service' will be fully tracked with a 1-hour delivery timeslot on the day of delivery. Standard delivery is Monday to Friday.
Saturday delivery can be selected at checkout for £19.95.
Small items and LP's may be sent using Royal Mail.
Large/heavy items may be sent using TNT Express.
